Have you been hijacked lately?

This is my latest rant. Recently, I joined seniorpeoplemeet.com. Yup it's an internet dating site that I joined on Monday and the reception was good. I have to admit though that the responses were from all around the country. Since I don't own a private jet they'll just have to be satisfied with my cyberspace persona. Wednesday night my account gets hijacked, and the scammer sent out 218 messages to members. Thursday morning I try to sign in and can't. Of course, I just reset my password to get back in. Hell's bells, I see my profile has been changed, my previous communications have all been deleted, and there are over 200 "Hello Handsome," messages in my sent folder. This scammer used the name of Sherry Pekins and requested they contact her at (Sherryperkins1@hotmail.com) or her yahoo IM is Sherrypekins62. I spent the day cleaning up the mess. Changing passwords and security questions. What just galls me was that the site blamed me for the problem stating that it was my fault because I gave my passwords and email address to someone. Yikes, like I would ever to be so incredibly stupid. What is apparent was their inability to police their own site, and realize that their are hackers out there. Come on people, your site has been compromised. I tried posting a message on my profile greeting to let those fellows know to beware of Sherry Pekins and that I didn't send that message. However, the web site edited that off my profile. Guess that is bad press for them. I write to complain that I'm getting all these responses to "Hello Handsome" which falls upon deaf and dumb representatives. I accuse them of not providing sufficient security. But hey, why do they care, they got my subscription money.
